After dropping a doubleheader on Wednesday, Lansing battled back to win in a walk-off in extra innings on Thursday. Second baseman Justin Riemer, who was acquired from the Red Sox in the offseason, went 2 for 3, homered, walked twice, drove in a pair and scored 3 runs. The 24-year-old infielder leads the Lugnuts with 21 walks and an impressive .479 on-base percentage. Center fielder Rodney Green went 3 for 4, doubled, drew a walk and scored 3 runs, including the winning run. Designated hitter Devin Taylor singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Ali Camarillo singled twice, walked and scored twice, and first baseman Dylan Fien was hit by a pitch with two outs in the bottom of the 10th to bring home the winning run for Lansing. Starter Samuel Dutton allowed 5 runs in 4 frames, while RHP Luis Carrasco tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Jake Garland picked up the win despite giving up 3 runs, 2 earned, in the 9th and 10th for the Lugnuts.
