The RockHounds registered a one-run victory over the Sod Poodles on Saturday to win their third straight. Second baseman Nick Allen had just one hit, but it was the most critical hit recorded by any A’s minor leaguer on the night. With the game tied and two outs in the top of the 8th, the 22-year-old infielder stepped to the plate and smacked a solo shot over the left center field fence to provide the margin of victory for Midland. Allen currently leads the team in hits with 19 and is tied for the team RBI lead with 12 while boasting an on-base percentage of .382. Center fielder Jhonny Santos singled and doubled, while first baseman Jonah Bride doubled in the tying run in the top of the 4th for the RockHounds. RHP Brady Feigl turned in a strong start, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits while striking out 7, but he left with the game a 1-1 tie. RHP Brett Graves tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to tally the win, while LHP Aaron Brown threw a scoreless 8th, and RHP Eric Marinez pitched a perfect 9th to pick up the save on Saturday.

After scoring a total of 28 runs over the previous two games, Las Vegas surrendered 11 runs to Salt Lake to suffer the loss on Saturday. Left fielder Skye Bolt had a big night though, coming just one single short of a cycle. The 27-year-old doubled, tripled, homered, walked and drove in a pair, and Bolt is now slashing .386/.451/.636 on the young season. Second baseman Vimael Machin singled twice, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while catcher Carlos Perez had 2 hits and drove in a pair for the Aviators. RHP Brian Howard had a shaky start, surrendering 5 runs over 4 frames to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. LHP A.J. Puk had a rough rehab outing, giving up 3 runs in just 2/3 of an inning in relief. Meanwhile, RHP Daulton Jefferies was activated from the injured list for Las Vegas.

Lansing surrendered 12 runs to suffer the loss to Fort Wayne on Saturday. Starter Colin Peluse had a rough outing and was charged with 8 runs on 10 hits in just 3 1/3 innings of work to take the loss for Lansing. The Lugnuts’ lineup launched four home runs in the loss. Right fielder Jake Suddleson and first baseman Will Simoneit slugged back-to-back solo shots in the 2nd inning, while third baseman Jordan Diaz tagged his team-leading 5th home run in the 3rd, and left fielder Austin Beck socked his 1st home run of the season in the 6th.
Jordan Díaz homered in each of the first three games of this series at Fort Wayne. He didn't homer yesterday.

Stockton suffered a walk-off loss to Visalia on Saturday. RHP Grant Judkins turned in a solid start, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits while striking out 7 over 5 frames, and he left the game with the lead. But RHP Diego Granado gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of work, and RHP Clark Cota was charged with 3 runs in 1 2/3 innings of relief to take the loss for Stockton. Designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros doubled and homered in the loss to raise his slugging percentage to a robust .521.
