Lansing’s resurgent lineup helped the Lugnuts notch their third win in their last four games on Sunday. Prior to Thursday’s victory, the team had scored a total of just 12 runs in its previous six games. But over its past four contests, the Lugnuts lineup has pushed a total of 34 runs across the plate. Shortstop Max Schuemann led the attack for Lansing on Sunday. The 23-year-old leadoff hitter homered in the top of the 1st inning to give his team an early lead and then doubled and came around to score in the 6th inning. And Schuemann is now sporting a .431 on-base percentage and a .549 slugging percentage on the young season. Left fielder Shane Selman collected a pair of doubles, while first baseman Patrick McColl belted his first home run as a pro, a two-run shot, for Lansing. Starter Stevie Emanuels allowed 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Charles Hall tossed 2 2/3 scoreless frames to earn the win, and RHPs Aiden McIntyre and Jack Weisenburger combined to throw 3 scoreless innings in relief to close things out for the Lugnuts.
