RHP Frankie Montas turned in his longest start of the season to help the Sounds snap their three-game losing streak on Friday. Montas allowed just 1 run over 6 innings of work to earn his 1st win for the Sounds. It was Montas’s longest outing since August of 2015. LHP Jeremy Bleich and RHPs Jake Sanchez and Raul Alcantara each tossed a scoreless inning in relief, with Alcantara notching his 2nd save for Nashville. Right fielder Anthony Garcia singled, hit his team-leading 4th home run and drove in a pair, while center fielder Dustin Fowler had 2 hits, including a triple, to collect his team-leading 13th multi-hit game of the year and raise his batting average to .325. Second baseman Franklin Barreto doubled and drew a walk, and first baseman Slade Heathcott walked and singled in a run for the Sounds.

Starter Joel Seddon allowed 4 runs, 2 earned, over 6 innings of work to suffer his 2nd loss for the RockHounds on Friday.First baseman Mikey White singled, walked and hit his team-leading 5th home run, while catcher Sean Murphy had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a run. Designated hitter Seth Brown singled, doubled and walked, and center fielder Tyler Ramirez doubled in a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

Stockton was shut out on just five hits to suffer its third straight loss on Friday. Starter Jake Bray turned in his best pitching performance for the Ports, allowing just 1 unearned run and striking out 5 over 5 1/3 frames, but he still ended up suffering the loss for Stockton. Center fielder Skye Bolt collected 2 hits, including a triple, while designaed hitter Jonah Heim singled and doubled in the loss.

The Snappers snapped their five-game losing streak on Friday. Designated hitter Anthony Churlin had a big night at the plate, collecting a pair of triples, drawing a walk, driving in a run and scoring 3 runs for the Snappers. Shortstop Jesus Lopez had 2 hits, including a double, and stole a base, while left fielder Logan Farrar singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, and center fielder Austin Beck singled and drove in a pair. Starter Jared Poche allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while walking 5 and striking out 7 over 4 2/3 frames. RHP Jesus Zambrano gave up 2 runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief to pick up the win, while RHP Nick Highberger tossed 2 scoreless innings to earn the save for the Snappers.
