RHP Christian Fernandez turned in a strong start to help Lansing snap its four-game losing streak on Sunday. The 23-year-old Venezuelan righty allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while walking none and striking out 6 over 5 frames to earn the win for the Lugnuts. RHP Tyler Baum pitched a perfect 9th to notch his 3rd save for Lansing. Shortstop Jack Winkler singled, doubled, stole a base and scored twice, and center fielder Junior Perez singled twice, stole a base and drove in a pair of runs for the Lugnuts. In other news, Lansing RHP Blake Beers was reassigned to the RockHounds and made his first start for Midland on Sunday.
