Las Vegas Aviators             1

LP: Eastman 0-1 / 4.91

Las Vegas lost its second straight to Oklahoma City and fell for the fourth time in its first five games on Wednesday. RHP Colton Eastman, who was recently signed to a minor league deal, made his first start for the Aviators and was charged with 5 runs, 2 earned, in 3 2/3 innings of work to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. And over their first five games, the Aviators have allowed their opponents to push a total of 45 runs across the plate. The Las Vegas lineup managed just three hits in the game. Third baseman Pablo Reyes, who was signed as a minor league free agent in the offseason, singled, walked and stole a base, while catcher Kyle McCann singled and stole home on the back end of a double steal with Reyes to account for the Aviators’ only run, and second baseman Jordan Diaz singled but was left stranded in the 1st inning. Meanwhile, Jon Heyman reported that the A’s have signed RHP Spencer Patton to a minor league deal, and he’s expected to be added to the Aviators’ bullpen before long. Patton posted a 3.83 ERA and averaged 10.2 K/9 while making 42 relief appearances for Texas in 2021. RHP Colin Peluse is set to make his second start for Las Vegas on Thursday.
