The Aviators bested the Bees for the second straight night on Saturday. First baseman Seth Brown singled twice, doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs, and his 48 extra-base hits are now a team-best. Center fielder Dustin Fowler had 3 hits, including his 18th home run, while second baseman Corban Joseph and right fielder Skye Bolt each singled, doubled and drove in a pair for Las Vegas. Starter Parker Dunshee gave up 4 runs in 4 innings of work, while RHP Ben Bracewell allowed 1 unearned run in 2 innings of relief and picked up the win, and RHP Trey McNutt got the final three outs to secure the save for the Aviators.

The RockHounds were shut out on just three hits to lose their second straight to Tulsa on Saturday. RHP Matt Milburn turned in a strong start, allowing 1 run on just 3 hits while striking out 8 over 7 innings of work, but he still ended up suffering his 7th loss for Midland. Shortstop Edwin Diaz doubled for the RockHounds’ only extra-base hit in the loss.

Stockton suffered its second straight loss on Saturday. Starter Mitchell Jordan surrendered 6 runs, 5 earned, over 1 2/3 frames to take the loss. Center fielder Austin Beck returned to action after spending 3 ½ weeks on the injured list and slugged his 7th home run of the season in his first at-bat on Saturday. Third baseman Jonah Bride had a pair of doubles for the Ports, while catcher Nick Hundley went 0 for 4 in his third rehab game with Stockton.

The Lake Monsters lost in extra innings on Saturday. 23-year-old Cuban LHP Yorlenis Noa made the start and allowed 2 runs over 3 innings of work, while 24-year-old Dominican RHP Jeferson Mejia gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in the top of the 10th to take the loss for the Lake Monsters. 19-year-old Dominican center fielder Kevin Richards hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the bottom of the 5th, while this year’s 4th-round draft pick for the A’s, catcher Kyle McCann singled, walked twice and scored a run, and 19-year-old Dominican shortstop Yerdel Vargas singled and drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home a run for Vermont.

This year’s 31st-round draft pick, right fielder Matthew Koehler, singled, tripled and drove in a pair, and last year’s 12th-round pick, left fielder Noah Vaughan, doubled twice and drove in a run for the A’s. 20-year-old Venezuelan LHP Dennis Herrera made the start and allowed 1 run in 3 2/3 innings of work, while 22-year-old Venezuelan RHP Jesus Monserratt gave up 1 run in 2 1/3 innings of relief and picked up the win on Saturday.

Rehabbing catcher Sean Murphy singled, homered and walked twice, while 20-year-old Venezuelan right fielder Rafael Rincones and designated hitter Matt Cross each singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run in the loss.

    1. He last made a relief appearance for Las Vegas on July 16. There’s no particular timetable for his return to the majors. His health and performance will determine when he returns to the A’s.
