RHP Tanner Anderson turned in his best start of the season to help the Aviators win their third straight on Wednesday. Anderson allowed just 1 run while walking none and striking out 5 to earn his 4th victory for Las Vegas. RHP Trey McNutt tossed 2 scoreless innings in his Triple-A debut, while RHP Ben Bracewell got the final three outs in the 9th to close out the win. Left fielder Nick Martini collected 4 hits, drew a walk and drove in a run, while shortstop Jorge Mateo hit a two-run homer and singled twice. Center fielder Dustin Fowler singled, stole a base and slugged a three-run homer, and second baseman Franklin Barreto had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Aviators.

After losing six in a row, the RockHounds won their second straight on Wednesday. RHP Matt Milburn delivered a solid start, allowing 2 runs over 6 2/3 innings of work to earn the win, while LHP Zack Erwin tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to record the save for the RockHounds. Left fielder Dairon Blanco singled, doubled, drove in a pair, walked twice and tallied his team-best 13th stolen base, while catcher Collin Theroux walked and hit his team-leading 7th home run for the Hounds. Meanwhile, Midland RHP Joel Seddon was released and RHP Jesus Zambrano was reassigned to the RockHounds from Stockton.

Starter James Kaprielian allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 4 to suffer the loss for Stockton on Wednesday. He threw 49 pitches, 36 for strikes, and Ports play-by-play man Zack Bayrouty reported that Kaprielian’s fastball was clocked between 93-95 mph. RHP Wandisson Charles tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief in his California League debut. Shortstop Jeremy Eierman singled, doubled and drove in a run for Stockton in the loss. Meanwhile, Ports RHP Jesus Zambrano was promoted to the RockHounds.

Beloit battled back to earn the win in Wednesday’s first game. RHP Joe DeMers returned from the injured list to make the start and surrendered 6 runs over 4 2/3 frames, but RHP Brandon Withers tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Eric Marinez notched the final out to pick up his 8th save for the Snappers. Center fielder Devin Foyle doubled twice and drove in a pair of runs, including the tying run in the top of the 7th, while catcher John Jones singled twice and drove in the winning run. Right fielder Skyler Weber homered and walked, and designated hitter Anthony Churlin went 1 for 4 in his return from the injured list for the Snappers. Meanwhile, infielder Marcos Brito and RHPs Adam Reuss and Bryce Nightengale all landed on the injured list, while LHP Ty Damron and RHP Richard Guasch were added to the Snappers roster, and Beloit RHP Wandisson Charles was promoted to the Ports.

The Snappers hung on to record the win in Wednesday’s second game and complete the sweep of the doubleheader. 21-year-old Cuban RHP Richard Guasch made the start and threw 3 scoreless innings in his U.S. debut, while RHP Charlie Cerny tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and RHP Michael Danielak got the final three outs to secure the save for the Snappers. Left fielder Devin Foyle doubled, drew a pair of walks and drove in 2 runs for Beloit.
