After Luke Mann pounded a pair of home runs in each of Midland’s last two games, center fielder Cameron Leary picked up the torch and hit two home runs of his own for the Hounds on Saturday, but Midland still managed to suffer their second straight loss to the Sod Poodles. The 24-year-old outfielder tagged a two-run homer in the top of the 4th inning to break a 2-2 tie and then slugged a solo shot in the 8th. Leary has now gone 6 for 12 with 3 home runs over his last 3 games for Midland. First baseman Nate Nankil homered, while left fielder Clark Elliott, catcher Davis Diaz and shortstop Bobby Boser each singled and doubled for the Hounds. Starter Zane Taylor was charged with 7 runs in 4 1/3 frames to suffer the loss for Midland.
