20-year-old RHP Josiah Romeo turned in one of his best starts of the season to lead Stockton to its third straight win on Sunday. 2024’s 6^th-round draft pick for the A’s threw 7 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4 to pick up his 8^th win for the Ports, tying him for the league lead. Romeo threw 95 pitches, 56 for strikes. RHP Bjay Cooke allowed 2 runs in 1 inning of relief, while RHP Kade Brown pitched a perfect 9^th to close out the win for Stockton. First baseman Bryan Andrade homered and was hit by a pitch, while right fielder Gavin Turley singled, doubled, drove in a pair and was hit by a pitch. Third baseman Roman Martin doubled, drew a pair of walks, drove in a run and scored a run, and left fielder Max Durrington singled, walked, was hit by a pitch, stole a base and scored 3 runs for Stockton.
