Center fielder JJ Bleday had a big night at the plate to lead Las Vegas to a one-run victory in an 18-run offensive outburst for the Aviators on Wednesday. Bleday singled, doubled, homered, drew a walk, drove in 5, including what would prove to be the winning run, and scored 4 runs on the night. And the 25-year-old former 1st-round pick now leads the squad with 21 runs scored while sporting an OPS of 1.001. Designated hitter Kyle McCann collected 3 hits and drew a pair of walks, while shortstop Nick Allen singled twice, doubled, drew a walk and drove in 3. Second baseman Pablo Reyes had 3 hits, walked and drove in a run, and catcher Yohel Pozo doubled, homered and drove in 4. Rehabbing catcher Manny Pina drilled a pair of doubles and drove in a run before giving way to Pozo in the 6th. Starting pitcher Hogan Harris was charged with 5 runs in 3 innings of work, while RHP Miguel Romero surrendered 6 runs in just 1 inning of relief. RHP Garrett Acton picked up the win despite giving up 4 runs over 2 2/3 frames, and RHP Billy Sullivan notched the final out in the 9th to secure his 2nd save for Las Vegas. In other news, first baseman Dermis Garcia cleared waivers and was outrighted to Las Vegas on Wednesday.
