RHP Parker Dunshee delivered an outstanding start to lead Las Vegas to its eighth straight victory on Saturday. Dunshee allowed just 3 hits while walking none and striking out 9 over 5 2/3 scoreless frames to earn the win, and he’s now failed to allow an earned run over his last 11 2/3 innings for the Aviators. RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final two outs in the 9th to notch the save for Las Vegas. Third baseman Franklin Barreto singled and slugged a home run for the fourth time in his last seven games, while catcher Sean Murphy drew a walk and homered for the third time in his last three games for Las Vegas.

RHP Brian Howard turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run and striking out 5 over 6 innings of work to earn his 8th win, tying him for the league lead. Left fielder Chase Calabuig collected 3 hits, drew a walk and drove in a pair of runs, while shortstop Edwin Diaz had a pair of hits, including a double, and second baseman Nate Mondou singled twice and drove in a run for the RockHounds.

LHP Josh Reagan tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, while RHP Calvin Coker got the final three outs in the 9th to notch the save for the Snappers. Designated hitter Anthony Churlin singled, walked, stole a base and scored a run in his return from the injured list, while catcher Skyler Weber doubled in a run, and third baseman Nick Ward singled in the winning run in the top of the 9th for the Snappers.

This year’s 6th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Seth Shuman, turned in a solid start, allowing just 3 hits while throwing 5 scoreless frames, and he left the game with a one-run lead. But RHP Osvaldo Berrios gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in 4 innings of relief to take the loss. Center fielder Kevin Richards doubled and drew a walk, while third baseman Jordan Diaz singled, drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and stole a base for the Lake Monsters in the loss.

Third baseman Gavin Jones and right fielder Davonn Mackey both singled for the A’s in the loss.

The AZL A’s Gold squad put 15 runs on the board to best the Padres on Saturday. 22-year-old Cuban left fielder Enrry Pantoja collected 5 hits, stole a base, drove in a pair and scored 4 runs, while right fielder Rafael Rincones drew 5 walks and scored twice, and third baseman Joshwan Wright had 4 hits and drove in 3 runs for the A’s. 21-year-old Dominican RHP Robin Vazquez made the start and allowed 4 runs, 2 earned, over 4 frames, while converted infielder Jesus Lage threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win on Saturday.
