Las Vegas shut out Tacoma on just five hits to win its ninth straight on Sunday, and left fielder Nick Martini was responsible for all the runs scored in the contest. With the game a scoreless tie in the top of the 8th inning, Martini slugged a two-run homer to provide the margin of victory for Las Vegas. LHP Jesus Luzardo made the start and threw 4 2/3 scoreless frames, allowing 3 hits while walking 3 and striking out 4. The 21-year-old threw 84 pitches, 47 for strikes. RHP Tanner Anderson tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win, while RHP Jharel Cotton pitched 1 perfect inning in relief, and RHP Brian Schlitter got the final three outs in the 9th to notch the save and complete the shutout on Sunday.

The RockHounds recorded their fifth straight win on Sunday. RHP Kyle Friedrichs turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run over 7 innings of work to earn the win for the RockHounds. Shortstop Edwin Diaz singled, slugged his team-leading 14th home run and drove in a pair of runs, while right fielder Greg Deichmann homered and walked, and second baseman Nate Mondou tagged a two-run homer for the Hounds.

The Snappers suffered a one-run loss to the Bees on Sunday. RHP Chase Cohen turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 unearned run while striking out 5 over 5 frames, and he left the game with a one-run lead. But RHP Rafael Kelly was charged with 1 run in the 6th inning to tie the game, and RHP Charlie Cerny gave up the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 9th to take the loss as Burlington won in a walk-off. Third baseman Max Schuemann singled, walked and scored a run, while center fielder Devin Foyle drew 3 walks, and right fielder Nick Osborne doubled, stole a base and scored a run for the Snappers in the loss.

Catcher Jose Rivas had a pair of hits, including a triple, while center fielder Kevin Richards doubled in a pair of runs for the Lake Monsters in the loss.

This year’s 8th-round draft pick for the A’s, 18-year-old RHP Jose Dicochea, made the start on Sunday and allowed 4 runs in just 1 2/3 innings of work to suffer the loss for the A’s. 18-year-old Dominican shortstop Jhoan Paulino singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while 17-year-old Colombian center fielder Brayan Buelvas had a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in a run, and 19-year-old Mexican catcher Hansen Lopez singled twice and drove in 3 runs in the loss.

Four AZL A’s pitchers combined to shut out the Indians on just three hits on Sunday. 23-year-old RHP Nathan Patterson made the start and tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings, while this year’s 38th-round draft pick for the A’s, LHP David Leal, threw 3 1/3 shutout frames to earn the win. This year’s 20th-round draft pick, RHP Jack Weisenburger, tossed 2 scoreless innings, and rehabbing LHP Cody Stull got the final three outs in the 9th to notch the save and complete the shutout for the A’s. Third baseman Joshwan Wright collected 3 hits, including a double, while catcher Marcos Betancourt singled twice, drew a walk and scored a run. Center fielder Ramon Martinez had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and left fielder Enrry Pantoja singled twice and drove in a pair for the A’s.
