Stockton snapped its five-game losing streak on Sunday. Designated hitter Robert Mullen collected 4 hits, including a double and a two-run homer, to raise his batting average for Stockton to a robust .357. First baseman Jonah Bride homered and walked, while left fielder Alfonso Rivas drew a walk and tripled in a run, and shortstop Jeremy Eierman and second baseman Ryan Gridley had a pair of hits apiece and each drove in a run for the Ports. Starter James Kaprielian gave up 3 runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Bryce Conley was solid in relief, throwing 3 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win in his Ports debut. Las Vegas suffered a one-run loss in the completion of Saturday’s suspended on Sunday. RHP Parker Dunshee started the game on Saturday and gave up 3 runs in 1 inning of work. RHP Paul Blackburn took over on the mound when the game resumed on Sunday and turned in a solid effort, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, over 7 innings of work, but he still ended up being saddled with his 2nd loss for Las Vegas. Catcher Beau Taylor singled in a run and slugged a two-run homer, while center fielder Skye Bolt singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, and left fielder Nick Martini had 3 hits to raise his average to .335 for the Aviators.

Las Vegas hung on to claim the victory in Sunday’s regularly-scheduled game. Designated hitter Cameron Rupp drew a walk and drilled a two-run homer in the 5th inning, while Sheldon Neuse, making his second start of the season at shortstop, slugged a two-run homer in the 1st for the Aviators. Las Vegas had to put together a string of relievers in Sunday’s second game. RHP Miguel Romero made the start and allowed 1 run in 2 innings of work, while RHP Trey McNutt tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 1st save for the Aviators.

The Snappers suffered their fifth loss in their last six games on Sunday. 20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Angello Infante made the start and was solid, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits over 5 2/3 frames and left the game with a two-run lead. RHP Bryce Nightengale was charged with 1 unearned run in 2 1/3 innings of relief in his return from the injured list, but 22-year-old Dominican RHP Jaimito Lebron gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th as Beloit lost in a walk-off. First baseman Santis Sanchez homered and walked, while second baseman Nick Ward singled twice, walked twice and stole a base. Right fielder Anthony Churlin had a pair of hits, drew a walk and stole a base, while designated hitter John Jones singled, walked twice and scored a run, and center fielder Devin Foyle singled, doubled, drove in a run and stole a base for the Snappers. Meanwhile, RHP Bryce Conley was reassigned from the Snappers to Stockton on Sunday.
