Las Vegas notched its fourth straight victory on Thursday. With the game tied in the top of the 9th, second baseman Nate Mondou stepped to the plate with a man on and tagged a two-run homer to provide the margin of victory for the Aviators. Mondou also singled in the game and drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home a run in the 4th, and the 26-year-old infielder is now 7 for 14 with 3 walks, 3 extra-base hits and 5 RBIs over his last 4 games for Las Vegas. Third baseman Jacob Wilson belted a three-run homer, while shortstop Pete Kozma singled, doubled and scored twice, and right fielder Greg Deichmann singled twice and drove in a pair for the Aviators. Starting pitcher Miguel Romero threw 3 scoreless frames, while LHP Adam Kolarek allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in 1 inning of relief. LHP Reymin Guduan picked up the win despite giving up the tying run in the bottom of the 8th, and RHP Jordan Weems pitched a perfect 9th to notch the save for Las Vegas.

The RockHounds recorded their third straight loss on Thursday. Starter Ty Damron allowed 3 runs over 4 frames, while RHP Brett Graves was charged with 4 runs in 2/3 of an inning in relief to take the loss. Second baseman Nick Allen hammered a pair of home runs, slugging a solo shot in the 3rd inning and then belting a two-run blast in the 9th. It was the 22-year-old infielder’s fourth straight multi-hit game, and he’s now 8 for 20 with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs over his last 4 games for Midland. Third baseman Jeremy Eierman singled, doubled and drove in a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

Lansing suffered its fourth straight loss on Thursday. Starter Richard Guasch gave up 4 runs over 5 frames to take the loss, while first baseman Will Simoneit collected 3 hits and scored a run for the Lugnuts. Meanwhile, outfielder Lester Madden returned from the injured list for Lansing on Thursday.

Stockton battled back to win in extra innings on Thursday. 22-year-old Dominican RHP Jorge Juan made the start and gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in 2 innings of work, while tandem starter Jack Cushing was solid, allowing just 1 unearned run over 6 innings, and RHP Oscar Tovar tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Ports. Center fielder Junior Perez singled, doubled and drove in a run, while left fielder Lawrence Butler doubled, drew a walk and scored a run for Stockton.
