Center fielder Brayan Buelvas helped Stockton snap its four-game losing streak on Wednesday. The 19-year-old Colombian slugger stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the 2nd inning and slugged a grand slam to give Stockton an early lead. He then socked a solo shot in his next trip to the plate in the 4th, and his 7 home runs and .522 slugging percentage are both bests among current Ports. Left fielder Lawrence Butler singled, drew 3 walks and scored twice, while first baseman Gavin Jones singled, tripled, walked and scored twice, and right fielder Junior Perez singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs for Stockton. Starting pitcher Daniel Martinez allowed 2 runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Garrett Acton tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Ports.

The RockHounds snapped their five-game losing streak on Wednesday. Left fielder Chase Calabuig clubbed a grand slam in the 5th inning to provide the margin of victory for Midland. Right fielder Jake Suddleson singled, walked and slugged a home run, while shortstop Logan Davidson drew a walk and tagged a two-run shot. Starter Chase Cohen allowed 4 runs in 3 2/3 innings of work, while LHP Zack Erwin threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Brett Graves notched the final out in the 9th to secure the save.

Despite striking out 15 Loons, Lansing suffered the loss to Great Lakes on Wednesday. Starter Seth Shuman gave up 4 runs, 3 earned, and struck out 8 over 5 frames to take the loss, while RHP Bryce Nightengale allowed just 1 unearned run and struck out 6 in 3 innings of relief for the Lugnuts. Right fielder Shane Selman singled and slugged a three-run homer, while designated hitter Jordan Diaz singled, doubled and scored a run for Lansing in the loss.
