RHP Paul Blackburn turned in his second straight outstanding start to lead Las Vegas to victory on Sunday. Blackburn allowed 1 run on just 3 hits over 6 innings of work to earn his 4th win, and the 25-year-old has now given up just 1 run over his last 12 frames for the Aviators. RHP Norge Ruiz permitted 1 run in 3 innings of relief to register his 1st save for Las Vegas. Center fielder Franklin Barreto collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, second baseman Corban Joseph singled, doubled, drew a walk and scored twice, and right fielder Dustin Fowler singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs. Shortstop Jorge Mateo hit his league-leading 8th triple and drew a walk, while first baseman Eric Campbell homered for the second straight day, left fielder Mark Payton homered and drove in 4 runs in the game, and designated hitter Matt Olson had a pair of hits, drove in a run and scored twice in his fifth rehab game with Las Vegas.

Pitcher Parker Dunshee

RHP Parker Dunshee delivered his third straight quality start to help the RockHounds win their second straight over the Naturals on Sunday. Dunshee allowed 2 runs on just 4 hits while striking out 6, and the 24-year-old has now given up just 2 runs in 22 innings over his last 3 starts for Midland. Dunshee left the game with a one-run lead, but RHP Trey McNutt surrendered the tying run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Shortstop Kevin Merrell had a pair of hits, drew a walk and drove in 2 runs in the 4th to give the RockHounds the lead, and left fielder Chase Calabuig singled in a pair of runs in the top of the 9th to provide the margin of victory for Midland. McNutt was credited with the win, while RHP Kyle Finnegan pitched a scoreless 9th to notch his team-best 5th save for the RockHounds.

Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros led Stockton to victory in the rubber game of its three-game series with Modesto on Sunday. The 19-year-old Cuban outfielder singled, walked twice and belted a three-run blast in the 1st inning to record his team-leading 7th home run. Shortstop Nick Allen homered, hit his team-best 11th double, drew a walk and scored 3 runs, while third baseman Trace Loehr doubled, singled twice, scored twice and stole a base, and first baseman Alfonso Rivas and center fielder Jameson Hannah had a pair of hits apiece for the Ports. Starter Kyle Friedrichs allowed 3 runs in just 2 2/3 innings of work, while RHP Jake Bray pitched 3 1/3 perfect innings in relief, retiring all 10 batters he faced, to earn his 2nd win for Stockton.

The Snappers suffered their seventh loss in their last eight games on Sunday. With starter Joe DeMers recently landing on the disabled list, 20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Angello Infante was summoned from extended spring training to make his first start for the Snappers on Sunday, and he was charged with 7 runs, 6 earned, over 4 1/3 frames to suffer the loss. Right fielder Nick Osborne belted a bases-loaded double to drive in 3 runs, while designated hitter Payton Squier had a pair of hits, and second baseman Ryan Gridley singled in a run for the Snappers in the loss.
