RHP Mitchell Jordan turned in another outstandiong start to help the Snappers snap their three-game losing streak on Thursday. 2016’s 10th-round draft pick for the A’s allowed just 2 hits while throwing 6 shutout innings to earn his 4th win and lower his ERA to 2.26, which is good for second best in the Midwest League. And Jordan has now allowed just 4 earned runs in 29 innings over his last 5 starts. RHP Jesus Zambrano tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, while RHP Nick Highberger gave up a run in the 9th but got the final three outs to notch his 3rd save for the Snappers. Right fielder Jack Meggs homered and drove in Beloit’s only other run with a sacrifice fly, while center fielder Austin Beck doubled, and designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros singled, walked and stole a base for the Snappers.
