(Home Run / Double / 3 RBIs)
Catcher Stephen Vogt continued his hot-hitting for the River Cats on Monday, collecting 3 hits, including a double and a 3-run homer. And over his last 9 games, the Cats backstop is hitting .462 with 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs and 11 RBIs. First baseman Nate Freiman and second baseman Tyler Ladendorf collected 2 hits apiece, while shortstop Andy Parrino and outfielder Shane Peterson each drove in a pair of runs for the River Cats. Things got off to a rocky start for RHP Matt Buschmann and he ended up allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks over 5 2/3 innings but he still walked away with his 3rd win for Sacramento.

TEXAS LEAGUE (Double-A)
Tulsa Drillers 6
Midland RockHounds 5
LP – Healy 0-1 / 1.50
HR – Head (6)
Farmhand Of The Game:
Outfielder Josh Whitaker
(Double / 2 RBIs)
LHP Andrew Werner had a shaky start for Midland on Monday, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 8 hits over 5 innings of work, while Ryan Dull struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings of relief, and RHP Blake Hassebrock tossed a scoreless top of the 8th. The RockHounds came back to tie the game in the bottom of the 8th before RHP Tucker Healy tossed a scoreless 9th to send the game to extra innings. Unfortunately, Healy then allowed the winning run to come around in the top of the 10th and he ended up taking his 1st loss for the Hounds. Outfielder Josh Whitaker doubled in 2 runs in the RockHounds’ 3-run 8th, while third baseman Miles Head hit his 6th home run, and outfielder Conner Crumbliss singled, doubled and drove in a run in the loss. As far as the RockHounds rotation goes, if everything continues to go well, it looks like RHP Tanner Peters, who’s been out with a sore shoulder, could be ready to rejoin the team by the middle of next month.
