RHP Dan Straily delivered his second straight impressive start for Sacramento, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 7 over 7 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd win on Saturday. First baseman Daric Barton singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs, while outfielder Michael Taylor collected 4 hits, including a double, and shortstop Andy Parrino had a pair of hits, stole a base and drove in a run for the River Cats. Meanwhile, infielder Colin Walsh, who joined Sacramento last week from Midland, was placed on the disabled list after going 2 for 7 with a pair of walks in his first 3 games for the Cats.

RHP Nate Long turned in another strong start for the RockHounds, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit, a home run, over 6 innings of work to earn his 4th win on Saturday. LHP Frank Gailey gave up 1 run in 1 inning of relief, while RHP Seth Frankoff struck out 3 in 2 perfect innings to pick up his 9th save in 10opportunities for the Hounds. Outfielder Josh Whitaker doubled to drive in Midland’s first run of the game, while second baseman Conner Crumbliss walked 3 times and scored, outfielder Billy Burns singled and swiped and his league-leading 19th base of the season, and first baseman Max Muncy and shortstop Dusty Coleman each drove in a run for the RockHounds.

LHP Chris Lamb allowed 4 runs over 5 innings of work, while RHP Michael Ynoa gave up 1 run on 2 hits while walking none and striking out 3 in 2 innings of relief, and LHP Jeremy Barfield allowed 2 unearned runs while striking out the side in the bottom of the 8th inning. And with the game tied in the bottom of the 9th, RHP Austin House surrendered a 2-run homer to give Modesto the walk-off win on Saturday. Outfielder Aaron Shipman singled, tripled twice, drove in a run and scored 3 times, while shortstop Daniel Robertson had 3 hits and drove in a pair, third baseman Renato Nunez doubled to drive in a run, and designated hitter Ryon Healy singled, doubled and scored a run for Stockton.

RHP Ronald Herrera had another solid start for the Snappers on Saturday, allowing 2 runs on just 2 hits while striking out 6 in 7 innings to earn his 3rd win in a game attended by 5,301 at Miller Park in Milwaukee. RHP Blake McMullen tossed 1 scoreless inning of relief and RHP Tyler Vail got the final 3 outs for his 1st save. Outfielder Tyler Marincov collected 3 hits, including his 6th home run, while first baseman B.A. Vollmuth singled, doubled and drove in a run, catcher Jose Chavez singled, doubled and scored twice, and outfielder Herschel Powell tripled in the winning run in the 6th inning for the Snappers. Infielder Chih Fang Pan was activated from the disabled list but didn’t make an appearance in Saturday’s game.
