LHP Carlos Hernandez made his eighth straight strong start for Midland on Friday, allowing just 1 run while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work and left with the game tied, but LHP Frank Gailey gave up the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 9th inning to take the loss. Shortstop Darwin Perez and outfielders D’Arby Myers and Conner Crumbliss had a pair of hits apiece for the RockHounds.

RHP Seth Frankoff got the final 2 outs for his 4th save, while first baseman Tony Thompson had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run for the Ports.

Starter Dylan Covey had a solid outing for the Snappers on Friday, allowing 2 runs over 5 innings of work and left with the game tied, but LHP Chris Lamb gave up the go-ahead run in the 6th inning to take the loss, and RHP Trevor Bayless allowed 2 runs in 2 innings of relief in his debut for the Snappers. Catcher Ryan Delgado singled, doubled and drove in a run, while outfielder Ryan Mathews collected a pair of doubles for Beloit.

Third baseman Ryon Healy doubled and drove in a run for the Lake Monsters.
