Center fielder Shane Peterson had 3 hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in 2 runs, while left fielder Michael Choice singled, homered and drove in a pair of runs, and right fielder Michael Taylor hit his 16th home run for the River Cats.

After three straight shaky starts, RHP Drew Granier had a solid outing for Midland, allowing 2 runs and striking out 9 over 6 1/3 innings, but he still ended up taking his 5th loss on Wednesday. RHP Ryan Dull tossed 1 scoreless inning or relief in his debut for the RockHounds, while outfielder D’Arby Myers and shortstop Darwin Perez had a pair of hits apiece for the Hounds.
