The River Cats took the loss in the completion of a suspended game from earlier in the year. RHP Sonny Gray was saddled with the loss despite facing only 2 batters in the original game. LHP Andrew Werner took the mound as the game resumed on Sunday and allowed 8 runs on 11 hits over 6 innings of work. First baseman/third baseman Daric Barton singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs for the River Cats.

RHP Zach Neal had a shaky start for the RockHounds, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits over 7 innings to take his 9th loss on Sunday. First baseman Max Muncy singled and doubled, while outfielder D’Arby Myers had a pair of hits and second baseman Dusty Coleman drove in a run for the RockHounds.

RHP Tanner Peters had a strong start for Stockton on Sunday, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and striking out 7 over 7 innings to earn his 10th win, while RHP Ryan Dull struck out 3 in the 9th inning to pick up his 6th save for the Ports. Third baseman B.A. Vollmuth hit a 2-run homer, while shortstop Addison Russell had 2 singles, a double, a walk and scored twice in his return to the Ports lineup after missing the last week and a half with a bruised hand.

RHP Deyvi Jimenez had a rough start in his return to the Snappers, allowing 8 runs on 10 hits over 4 innings to take the loss on Sunday. RHP Derek De Young had a fine outing in relief of Jimenez though, allowing just 2 hits in 4 scoreless innings of work. Catcher Nick Rickles continued his hot hitting of late, singling, doubling and driving in the Snappers’ only run of the game. In other news, RHP Vince Voiro was placed on the disabled list on Sunday.

Third baseman Michael Soto homered and drove in 4 runs, while outfielder Herschel Powell had a pair of hits and drove in a run for Vermont.

Starter Matt Stalcup gave up just 1 unearned run over 3 innings of work to take his 3rd loss, while RHP Tyler Johnson allowed just 1 hit and struck out 4 in 3 innings of relief for the Lake Monsters.
