Starting pitcher Ryan Magdic and catcher Bryan Lavastida helped lead Las Vegas to a shutout walk-off win on Wednesday. Magdic, who started the season with High-A Lansing, turned in an excellent start, throwing 6 shutout innings while allowing 5 hits and notching 4 strikeouts without issuing a walk. The southpaw threw just 79 pitches, 51 of them for strikes. Magdic has demonstrated great control this season, issuing just 15 walks against 93 strikeouts in 104 innings of work. Magdic exited with the game a scoreless tie. RHP Taylor Rashi and LHPs Drew Rom and Ben Bowden each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. With one out in the bottom of the 9th and the game still a scoreless tie, catcher Bryan Lavastida delivered the decisive blow, slugging a solo shot over the center field fence as the Aviators won in a walk-off. Center fielder Brayan Buelvas collected 3 hits in the game, while Bowden picked up the victory for Las Vegas in the seven-hit shutout.
