LHP Jamie Arnold turned in a strong start to help the RockHounds record a double-digit win over the Missions on Tuesday. Last year’s top draft pick for the A’s allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 4 without issuing a walk in 6 innings of work to earn the win. Arnold has now allowed just 4 runs in 16 1/3 frames over his last trio of starts for Midland. RHPs Jay Dill, JJ Goss and Jared Johnson each tossed a scoreless inning in relief for the RockHounds. Catcher Cole Conn went 3 for 4 with a triple, drew a walk and drove in 3 runs, while left fielder Devin Taylor doubled twice, singled, was hit by a pitch and scored 3 runs, and shortstop Leo De Vries, second baseman Bobby Boser, third baseman Davis Diaz and designated hitter Brennan Milone had a pair of hits apiece for the Hounds.
