RHP Nathan Dettmer turned in an outstanding start on Sunday in his first appearance since being promoted to Lansing from Stockton. The former 5th-round pick carried a no-hitter through 6 innings and ended up allowing just 1 hit with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts through 6 1/3 scoreless innings to earn the win for Lansing. Dettmer threw 86 pitches, 53 for strikes. LHP Ryan Magdic allowed 1 run in 1 2/3 innings of relief, while LHP Riley Huge gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning, and RHP Ryan Brown notched the final out in the 9th to secure the save for the Lugnuts. Second baseman Casey Yamauchi collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Justin Riemer tripled, walked, stole a base and drove in a pair, and shortstop Bobby Boser had a pair of hits and scored a run for the Lugnuts.
