The A’s 5th-round pick last year, RHP Zane Taylor, pitched Lansing to victory in his Midwest League debut on Friday. The 23-year-old righty allowed just 2 hits while issuing 3 walks through 5 scoreless frames to earn the win. Taylor needed just 65 pitches to get through Friday’s outing. He posted a 1.98 ERA while averaging 9.9K/9 in his final college season in 2025. RHP Kyle Robinson piggybacked and allowed just 1 run over 4 innings of work to pick up the save. Third baseman Jared Sprague-Lott had a big night at the plate, going 3 for 4 with a home run while also stealing a base and scoring twice. Center fielder Rodney Green had another good game, going 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles, while shortstop and leadoff hitter Bobby Boser singled and walked twice, and right fielder Pedro Pineda doubled in a run for the Lugnuts. RHP Tzu-Chen Sha is set to make the start for Lansing on Saturday.

RHP Joey Estes had a rough start, surrendering 7 runs, 6 earned, in just 2 innings of work to suffer the loss for Las Vegas on Friday. RHPs Nick Hernandez, Eduarniel Nunez and Joel Kuhnel each tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief for the Aviators. Second baseman Zack Gelof drilled a double and slugged his 4th home run, a two-run shot, tying him for second-most in the league, while shortstop Drew Swift singled, walked twice and scored a run, and left fielder Cade Marlowe and designated hitter Brian Serven both doubled in the loss. RHP Mason Barnett is set to make the start for Las Vegas on Saturday.
TEXAS LEAGUE (DOUBLE-A)

In his pro debut for Midland on Friday, last year’s 1st-round pick for the A’s, LHP Jamie Arnold, allowed 2 runs on 6 hits while walking 2 and striking out 6 through 5 frames. Arnold threw 71 pitches, 47 for strikes. LHP James Gonzalez tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, while RHP Micah Dallas gave up 2 runs in 1 inning of work. But despite being down by four runs heading into the bottom of the 9th, Midland managed to come back and win in a walk-off. Designated hitter Clark Elliott had a pair of hits and singled in the tying and winning runs with one out in the 9th, while shortstop Leo De Vries singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, and left fielder Cameron Leary and catcher Shane McGuire had a pair of hits apiece for the Hounds. LHP Diego Barrera tossed a scoreless frame in the top of the 9th to pick up the win for Midland. RHP JJ Goss is set to make the start for the RockHounds on Saturday.
CALIFORNIA LEAGUE (SINGLE-A)

First baseman Judah Morris led Stockton to victory in his pro debut on Friday. With the game tied and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th inning, the 23-year-old Sacramento-area native, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in the offseason, tagged a two-out, bases-clearing triple to provide the margin of victory for the Ports. Designated hitter Breyson Guedez had another good game, going 2 for 4 with a double while driving in a run. LHP Grant Richardson, last year’s 6th-round pick for the A’s, made the start and allowed 2 runs through 3 innings in his pro debut, while LHP Corey Braun, last year’s 8th-round pick, threw 3 scoreless and hitless innings to pick up the win, and RHP Sam Stuhr threw 3 scoreless frames to secure the save for Stockton.
