WP: Waldichuk 1-5 / 9.51
HR: Perez 2 (10)
Center fielder Junior Perez had a big night at the plate to help LHP Ken Waldichuk notch his first victory for Las Vegas this season on Thursday. The 24-year-old Dominican outfielder went 3 for 4 while tagging a two-run homer in the 3rd inning and then following that up by slugging a 452-foot grand slam in the 5th inning for the Aviators. And Perez has now hit 10 home runs while slashing .333/.458/.795 in 22 games since joining Las Vegas. First baseman Shane McGuire doubled twice, scored twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, while catcher Bryan Lavastida singled twice, walked and stole a base for the Aviators. Meanwhile, Waldichuk allowed 3 runs through 5 frames to pick up the victory for Las Vegas.
