RHP Yunior Tur turned in a strong start to lead Midland to a shutout win over Frisco as the RockHounds snapped their five-game losing streak on Sunday. The 26-year-old Cuban righty allowed just 1 hit and 2 walks while notching 5 strikeouts through 5 2/3 scoreless frames to record the victory for the RockHounds. And Tur has now compiled an ERA of 2.53 in 57 innings of work for Midland since his promotion to Double-A in late June. RHPs Yorlin Calderon, Stevie Emanuels and Shohei Tomioka combined to throw 3 1/3 scoreless and hitless innings in relief, with Tomioka tallying his team-leading 10th save to complete the one-hit shutout for Midland. Left fielder Clark Elliott singled, doubled and scored twice, while right fielder Jared Dickey doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run. Center fielder Nate Nankil singled twice and scored a run, and first baseman Tommy White singled and drove in a pair of runs for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, numerous reports surfaced on Sunday that top prospect Leo De Vries is set to be promoted to Midland.
