Top prospect Leo De Vries had a huge night at the plate to help lead the Lugnuts to their fourth straight win on Friday. The 18-year-old shortstop went 3 for 4 while pounding a pair of home runs and a triple, driving in 5 runs in the process, and he’s now collected 5 extra-base hits and driven in 11 runs in his first 13 games with Lansing. Designated hitter Mario Gomez singled, homered, drew a walk, was hit by a pitch and drove in 3 runs, while left fielder Cameron Leary tripled, singled and scored twice for the Lugnuts. RHP Corey Avant turned in a solid start, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, through 5 2/3 frames to earn the win for Lansing.
