Designated hitter Casey Yamauchi helped the Lugnuts record just their third win in their last thirteen games on Friday. The 24-year-old infielder collected 3 hits, scored 3 runs, drove in a pair and notched his 9th stolen base, and he’s now batting .270 on the season for Lansing. Center fielder Ryan Lasko doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while right fielder Pedro Pineda tripled in a run. Third baseman Ben Newton singled twice and drove in a run, and shortstop Leo De Vries went 1 for 4, drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and scored a run for the Lugnuts. Starter Tzu-Chen Sha issued 3 walks and was charged with 1 unearned run through 4 hitless frames. LHP Jack Mahoney gave up 4 runs in just 1/3 of an inning in relief, but RHP Wander Guante threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the victory for Lansing.
