LHP Gage Jump turned in an impressive start in his Double-A debut to lead the RockHounds to their eighth straight win on Wednesday. The 22-year-old southpaw, who posted a 2.32 ERA in his first 31 innings for Lansing this season, allowed 5 hits while issuing just 1 walk and notching 6 strikeouts through 6 shutout innings to record the win in his first start for Midland. David Leal, Micah Dallas and Gustavo Rodriguez each tossed a scoreless inning in relief to complete the seven-hit shutout for the RockHounds. Center fielder Junior Perez tagged a two-run homer, while designated hitter Colby Halter singled, walked and swiped a pair of bases. Left fielder Brennan Milone singled, walked twice and scored twice, and right fielder Henry Bolte had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the RockHounds.
