RHP J.T. Ginn turned in an impressive start on Thursday, but Las Vegas went on to suffer a loss in extra innings. The 25-year-old righty allowed 2 runs on 4 hits while issuing just 1 walk and notching 11 strikeouts through 6 innings of work. Ginn threw 82 pitches, 50 for strikes, and he’s now tallied 19 strikeouts in 11 innings over his first two starts for the Aviators. RHPs Tyler Baum and Ryan Cusick each tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief, but RHP Elvis Alvarado allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in the top of the 10th to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. Center fielder Denzel Clarke tripled in a pair of runs with two outs to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th, and he’s now 7 for 18 with 3 walks and 5 RBIs in his first 6 games for Las Vegas. RHP Mason Barnett is set to make the start for the Aviators on Friday.
