The RockHounds won in a 10-inning walk-off to snap their three-game losing streak on Saturday. Shortstop Jack Winkler walked and scored a run in the 1st inning, homered in the 3rd inning, and then walked and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th for Midland. Winkler, who was the A’s 10th-round pick in 2021, now leads the team with 28 walks, and his .391 on-base percentage is best among all RockHounds with at least 100 at-bats. Left fielder Colby Thomas singled and hit his team-leading 14th home run, while third baseman Brennan Milone had a pair of hits and drew a walk, and right fielder Jeisson Rosario doubled in a pair of runs in the 1st inning and singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. Starter James Gonzalez was charged with 3 runs, just 2 earned, in 5 1/3 frames, and RHP Shohei Tomioka allowed 1 unearned run in the top of the 10th but recorded the win for the RockHounds.
