After scoring 11 runs in Friday’s win, the Ports exploded for 15 runs on Saturday to take their second straight from Modesto. 22-year-old first baseman Sandber Pimentel had a huge night at the plate, collecting 4 hits, including a home run and a pair of doubles, while driving in 3 runs for Stockton. Shortstop Sheldon Neuse had 4 singles and a walk and drove in a run, while designated hitter Eli White tripled, singled twice and drove in 3, and right fielder Seth Brown tripled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Ports. RHP James Naile was activated from the disabled list and made his first start for Stockton this season, allowing 2 runs over 3 innings of work, while LHP Jared Lyons tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. In other news, Ports pitcher Brandon Bailey was placed on the disabled list with a groin injury.

With a man on, two outs and his team down by a run, shortstop Yairo Munoz stepped to the plate and slugged a 2-run homer to provide the margin of victory as Nashville notched its fourth win in its last five games on Saturday. Rehabbing RHP Kendall Graveman allowed just 1 run and struck out 5 over 4 2/3 frames, while LHP Felix Doubront pitched 2 1/3 perfect innings to pick up the win. RHP Chris Bassitt tossed a scoreless 8th, and RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final three outs in the 9th to secure his 3rd save for the Sounds. In other news, RHP Raul Alcantara was activated from the disabled list on Saturday.

Beloit notched its seventh win in its last eight games while Snappers pitchers recorded their fourth shutout in the team’s last eight contests on Saturday. Last year’s 17th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Seth Martinez, made the start and tossed 5 scoreless frames to earn the win and extend his scoreless-innings streak to 11. RHP Heath Bowers threw 3 shutout innings in relief, and RHP Sam Sheehan tossed a scoreless 9th to complete the 8-hit shutout on Saturday. Shortstop Eric Marinez singled, doubled, tripled and drove in a run, while first baseman Kyle Nowlin doubled in a pair, and center fielder Mike Martin singled twice, walked, drove in a run and swiped 3 bases for the Snappers.

Third baseman Will Toffey’s big night helped lead Vermont to a comeback victory on Saturday. This year’s 4th-round draft pick for the A’s singled, doubled, tripled and drove in 2 runs, including the tying run in the top of the 8th inning for the Lake Monsters. 19-year-old Venezuelan shortstop Jesus Lage had a pair of hits and singled in the winning run in the 8th, while 11th-round second baseman Ryan Gridley singled twice and drove in a pair for Vermont. 20-year-old Colombian RHP Jean Ruiz made the start and gave up 1 run in 2 2/3 innings of work, while 21-year-old Venezuelan LHP Jhenderson Hurtado surrendered 2 runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief. 19th-round RHP Michael Danielak allowed 1 run in 3 innings to earn the win, and 20-year-old Dominican RHP Wandisson Charles got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 4th save for the Lake Monsters.

17-year-old Puerto Rican RHP Osvaldo Berrios made the start on Saturday and allowed 1 run in 2 innings of work, while 19-year-old Dominican RHP Jose Mora was impressive in relief, striking out 8 while failing to allow a run over 3 2/3 innings to earn his 2nd win for the A’s. This year’s 3rd-round draft pick, shortstop Nick Allen, tripled, doubled, walked and drove in a pair, while this year’s top pick, center fielder Austin Beck, singled twice and drove in a run, and designated hitter Jhonny Rodriguez walked and tripled in a run for the A’s.
