LHP Eric Surkamp pitched Nashville to victory in his return to the Sounds on Monday. Surkamp threw 6 1/3 shutout innings, striking out 6 in the process, to earn his 3rd win as the Sounds won for the 19th time in their last 22 games. RHP J.B. Wendelken gave up 1 run in 1 inning of relief, while RHP Tucker Healy got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 3rd save for Nashville. Shortstop Chad Pinder singled, doubled and scored twice, while left fielder Andrew Lambo doubled, walked and drove in a run, and center fielder Jaycob Brugman doubled, walked and scored the first run of the game for the Sounds. First baseman Rangel Ravelo left the game after running into the dugout railing while catching a foul ball in the 8th inning. And with infielder Colin Walsh rejoining the roster, infielder Josh Rodriguez was reassigned to the RockHounds on Monday.

Starter Brett Graves allowed 4 runs over 6 innings of work and left with the game a 4-4 tie on Monday, and the game would remain knotted until the 11th inning. RHP R.J. Alvarez gave up 1 hit in 1 scoreless inning of relief in his second rehab appearance for the Ports, while RHP Corey Miller threw 3 scoreless frames in the 8th, 9th and 10th, but RHP Joey Wagman took the loss after allowing an unearned run in the top of the 11th with the help of a missed catch by first baseman Sandber Pimentel. Second baseman Melvin Mercedes smacked his 1st home run of the season for Stockton, while third baseman Mikey White walked and singled in the go-ahead run in the 2nd, and center fielder James Harris and designated hitter Joe Bennie had a pair of hits apiece for the Ports. And in other news, first baseman John Nogowski returned from the RockHounds to the Ports on Monday while outfielder Alex Glenn was released.
