LHP Dillon Overton delivered a strong start for Nashville, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits while walking 1 and striking out 8 over 6 2/3 innings to earn his 2nd victory as the Sounds won their 4th straight on Tuesday. RHP J.B. Wendelken got the final two outs in the 9th to notch his 3rd save for Nashville. First baseman Ryon Healy collected 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in the tying run in his Triple-A debut after being promoted from Midland on Tuesday, while right fielder Matt Olson doubled in the winning run in the 6th inning for the Sounds. Meanwhile, Jesse Hahn and Max Muncy were recalled by the A’s and LHP Eric Surkamp was optioned back to Nashville.

Starter Joey Wagman surrendered 5 runs, 3 earned, over 4 innings of work in his first start for the RockHounds after being reassigned from Stockton. RHP Trey Cochran-Gill allowed 4 run unearned runs in the top of the 15th inning, with the help of a dropped would-be third out by second baseman Franklin Barreto, to suffer the loss. Matt Chapman, making his third start at shortstop, had 4 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, while first baseman Wade Kirkland homered in the 13th to tie the game for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, outfielder Tyler Marincov was promoted to Midland from the Ports on Tuesday.

Starter Heath Fillmyer allowed 4 runs, 2 earned, over 4 2/3 innings to take the loss on Tuesday. Second baseman Joe Bennie homered for the second straight game, slugging a 2-run shot to put the Ports on the board on the bottom of the 1st inning. With Stockton outfielder Tyler Marincov reassigned to the RockHounds, outfielder Alex Glenn was added to the Ports roster and tripled and walked in his Stockton debut on Tuesday.

Third baseman Edwin Diaz had 2 hits and drove in a pair for the Snappers.
