Designated hitter Andrew Lambo had a big day at the plate for the Sounds on Thursday. The 27-year-old singled, doubled and slugged a grand slam in the 6th inning to clear the bases and break a 4-4 tie, and he ended up finishing the day with 5 RBIs. Second baseman Joey Wendle hit his 3rd home run in the 5th and also doubled in the game, while left fielder Max Muncy had 2 doubles and a walk and scored twice, and first baseman Rangel Ravelo and third baseman Renato Nunez had a pair of hits apiece and each drove in a run. Starter Zach Neal allowed 6 runs, 5 earned, through 5 1/3 innings but still picked up his 2nd win, and RHP Ryan Brasier got the final two outs in the 9th to earn his 1st save.

Second baseman Josh Rodriguez singled, doubled, homered and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Ryon healy tripled, homered and also drove in 3. Third baseman Matt Chapman singled, doubled, walked and slugged a solo shot, his 4th homer on the season, and designated hitter Viosergy Rosa had 3 hits, including 2 doubles, and drove in a pair. RHP Daniel Mengden turned in another solid start, allowing 2 runs over 6 innings of work to earn the win for the RockHounds.

Starter Xavier Altamirano allowed just 1 hit over 4 scoreless innings on Thursday, while RHP Boomer Biegalski gave up 2 runs in 4 innings of relief to pick up the win, and RHP Cody Kurz got the final three outs for his 2nd save. First baseman Chris Iriart hit his 4th home run, a 2-run shot, to put Beloit on the board in the top of the 1st, while outfielder Brett Siddall tripled, doubled, walked and drove in a run for the Snappers.
