RHP Jesse Hahn turned in his second straight impressive start for the Sounds on Wednesday, striking out 6 over 6 shutout innings, and the former A’s starter has now thrown a total of 12 scoreless innings since his demotion to Nashville. Hahn left the game with a one-run lead, but RHP J.B. Wendelken surrendered the tying run in the top of the 7th. Catcher Matt McBride then smacked a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 8th, and RHP Andrew Triggs picked up his 2nd win by tossing a scoreless 8th and LHP Patrick Schuster got the final three outs to earn the save. First baseman Rangel Ravelo singled in the Sounds first run in the 2nd, and shortstop Chad Pinder had the team’s only other hit in the 8th as Nashville won while notching just three hits in the game. LHP Dillon Overton is set to make his second start for the Sounds on Thursday.

RHP Daniel Gossett delivered another solid start for Stockton, allowing 3 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 7 over 7 innings of work, but Gossett was victimized by 3 errors behind him, which led to a pair of unearned runs. Pinch hitter John Nogowski doubled in a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th to give Stockton the walk-off win on Wednesday.
