Outfielder Jason Pridie hit his 16th home run, his 4th in the last 3 days, in the 1st inning to give the Sounds an early lead on Wednesday. Pridie also tripled in another run in the 6th, while Dayan Viciedo singled in Pridie in the 6th to tie the game, and shortstop Niuman Romero had a pair of hits for Nashville. Starter Barry Zito allowed 3 runs, just 2 earned, over 6 innings of work, while RHP Aaron Kurcz gave up the winning run in the botton of the 9th to take his 1st loss for the Sounds.

RHP Tim Atherton had a shaky start for the RockHounds on Wednesday, allowing 4 runs over 6 innings of work to take his 4th loss for Midland. Outfielder Jaycob Brugman singled, walked and hit a 2-run homer, while first baseman Rangel Ravelo doubled in a run, and designated hitter Ryon Healy had a pair of hits in the loss.

RHP Junior Mendez had a rough start on Wednesday, allowing 6 runs over just 3 2/3 innings to take his 7th loss for the Snappers. Catcher Argenis Raga collected a pair of doubles and drove in a run, while outfielder James Harris and third baseman Joe Bennie both walked twice and drove in runs for Beloit.

With one out, two men on and the game tied in the bottom of the 5th, first baseman Chris Iriart doubled in both runners to provide the margin of victory for Vermont on Wednesday. Third baseman Mikey White singled, double and drove in a run, while second baseman Trace Loehr and outfielders Seth Brown and Skye Bolt had a pair of hits apiece. Starter Kyle Friedrichs allowed 2 runs over 2 2/3 innings of work, while LHP Kevin Ferreras held Auburn hitless over 3 1/3 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd victory to Vermont.
