On a day when all the A’s affiliates went down to defeat, Stockton center fielder Breyson Guedez turned in the most impressive performance of the day. The 18-year-old Venezuelan outfielder collected 4 hits, including a home run, drew a walk and drove in 3 runs for the Ports, and Guedez now leads the team with 30 hits on the season. Left fielder Myles Naylor homered, doubled, drew a walk and drove in 4 runs, while second baseman Bryan Andrade tripled, walked 3 times, scored 3 times and drove in a run. Third baseman Daniel Bucciero singled, drew 3 walks and scored a run, and catcher Logan Sauve singled twice, was hit by a pitch, stole a base and drove in a run for the Ports. Stockton starter Alex Barr struck out 4 through 3 2/3 scoreless innings, while RHP Itsuki Takemoto allowed 4 runs in just 2/3 of an inning. RHP Alejandro Manzano gave up 7 runs, 6 earned, over 2 2/3 innings, and RHP Jackson Holmes was charged with 3 runs, 2 earned, in the bottom of the 10th to take the loss for Stockton.
