PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE (TRIPLE-A)
Salt Lake Bees 0
Las Vegas Aviators 4
WP: Nett 1-0 / 0.00
HR: Harris (2)
The Aviators shut out the Bees on just 2 hits on Saturday. RHP Mason Barnett turned in an excellent start, allowing just 1 hit while walking 2 and striking out 7 through 5 shutout frames, and he left with the game a scoreless tie. Barnett has failed to allow a run through his last 10 innings of work for Las Vegas, and his 2.29 ERA is the second-best in the Pacific Coast League among qualified pitchers. RHP Braden Nett, who was activated off the injured list earlier in the day, took over for Barnett and allowed just 1 hit while walking 1 and striking out 5 through 3 2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the victory for Las Vegas. RHP Nick Anderson notched the final out in the 9th to secure the save. Third baseman Brett Harris singled and slugged a three-run homer, while center fielder Junior Perez tripled and walked, and catcher Bryan Lavastida singled, walked and swiped a pair of bases, including a steal of home plate, for the Aviators.
