Thursday, April 23rd: Sam Stuhr & Corey Braun Pitch Ports to Victory while Milone & De Vries Help Hounds Win

WP: Stuhr 2-0 / 2.65

RHP Sam Stuhr and LHP Corey Braun combined to pitch the Ports to their second straight victory over the 66ers on Thursday. The 23-year-old Stuhr, who was the A’s 5^th-round draft pick in 2024, allowed just 1 run on 3 hits and a walk while notching 4 strikeouts in 5 innings of work to earn the win for Stockton. Stuhr has put up a 2.65 ERA through his first 4 appearances and has proven to be the Ports’ top starter in the early going this season. The 23-year-old Braun, the A’s 8^th-round pick last year, replaced Stuhr on the mound in a tandem starter role and gave up 1 run on just 2 hits over the final 4 frames to secure the save for Stockton. Third baseman Ali Camarillo collected 4 hits, including a double, and drove in 5 runs, while center fielder Max Durrington went 3 for 5 with a triple and scored 3 runs. Second baseman Bryan Andrade singled, tripled and drove in a pair of runs, and catcher Logan Sauve collected 3 hits and also drove in a pair for the Ports.
