Third baseman Joshua Kuroda-Grauer helped lead Midland to a one-run win over Amarillo on Tuesday. The 22-year-old infielder homered in the top of the 1st inning to give his team an early lead, then singled in the go-ahead run in the 7th and came around to score what would prove to be the winning run later in the same frame. Kuroda-Grauer has now gone 11 for 25 over his last 6 games to raise his batting average with Midland to .295. Shortstop Leo De Vries launched his 2nd home run for Midland to lead off the 6th inning, while designated hitter Jared Dickey singled twice, doubled and drove in the winning run, and second baseman Casey Yamauchi singled, tripled and scored the go ahead run in the 7th in his first game since being promoted to Midland earlier in the day. LHP Gage Jump had his third straight shaky start, giving up 4 runs through 5 frames, and the 22-year-old southpaw has now allowed 18 runs in 10 1/3 innings over his last 3 starts for the Hounds. RHP Mark Adamiak, who was also promoted to Midland earlier in the day, pitched 2 perfect innings in relief to pick up the win, while LHP Will Johnston tossed a scoreless 9th to notch the save for the RockHounds.

LHP Ken Waldichuk made the start for the Aviators on Tuesday and allowed 4 runs through 5 2/3 frames, while RHP Jack Cushing gave up 4 runs in just 1/3 of an inning of relief to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. Center fielder Junior Perez doubled twice, drew a walk, drove in a pair of runs and stole a base, while first baseman Shane McGuire singled twice, stole a base and drove in a pair, and shortstop Drew Swift doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run for Las Vegas in the loss.
