Right fielder Greg Deichmann, designated hitter Lawrence Butler and catcher Shane McGuire all homered to help the RockHounds record the win over the Missions on Thursday. Deichmann singled and scored a run in the 1st inning, socked a solo shot to lead off the 3rd, and then walked with the bases loaded to bring home the go-ahead run in the 7th. Deichmann leads the squad with 10 home runs, and he’s now hit 6 home runs in June while posting a slugging percentage of .707 for the month. Butler singled and scored in the 1st inning and slugged a solo shot in the 5th, while McGuire tagged a two-run homer in the 1st and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the 7th. Starter Jack Perkins permitted 5 runs, 4 earned, over 5 frames, and RHP Brian Howard picked up the win despite allowing 1 run in 1 inning of relief for the RockHounds.
