Third baseman Dereck Salom helped Stockton put a season-high 17 runs on the board on the way to securing its third straight win on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Venezuelan infielder reached base 5 times on the night. Salom doubled, singled twice, walked twice, scored 3 runs and drove in a pair, and he’s now gone 8 for 17 with 7 walks and 7 RBIs over his last 6 games for Stockton. First baseman T.J. Schofield-Sam singled twice, walked, was hit by a pair of pitches, stole a base and drove in a run, while catcher Jose Mujica homered and drove in 3, and left fielder Colby Thomas and designated hitter Brennan Milone both doubled and drew a pair of walks for the Ports. Starter Eduardo Rivera allowed 1 unearned run over 4 2/3 frames, while LHP Garrett Irvin picked up the win despite being charged with a pair of unearned runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief for the Ports. In other news, RHP Vince Reilly, who was on Stockton’s injured list, was released.
