The Aviators tallied 12 runs on Saturday to secure their third straight victory over El Paso, and catcher Austin Allen led the way for Las Vegas. The 27-year-old backstop tagged a two-run homer in the 6th inning, singled and scored a run and singled in another run in the 9th, and Allen has now notched 4 home runs and 11 RBIs through 13 games in July. Designated hitter Francisco Pena singled, drew 3 walks and drove in a run, while third baseman Vimael Machin had a pair of hits, walked and scored twice, and center fielder Cody Thomas doubled, drew a walk and drove in a run. RHP Miguel Romero turned in his best start, allowing just 1 run over 5 frames to earn the victory for Las Vegas, while LHP A.J. Puk gave up 1 run and struck out 4 in 2 innings of relief for the Aviators.
