Left fielder Greg Deichmann and first baseman Alfonso Rivas each went 0 for 3 with a walk, while RHP Jesus Zambrano tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn his 2nd save in Mesa’s 2-0 shutout win on Wednesday.
Thursday, October 24th:
Left fielder Greg Deichmann went 1 for 4, while third baseman Nick Allen went 0 for 3 as Mesa and Salt River tied 0-0 in 9 innings on Thursday.
Friday, October 25th:
Left fielder Greg Deichmann went 0-3 with 2 strikeouts, while third baseman Nick Allen went 0 for 2, and LHP Jhenderson Hurtado and RHP Brady Feigl each tossed 1 scoreless inning in Mesa’s 3-0 shutout win on Friday.
Saturday, October 26th:
Salt River defeated Surprise by a score of 5-1 in the Arizona Fall League championship game to complete the AFL season on Saturday.
