The RockHounds scored 16 runs in Amarillo on Thursday to help the team snap its four-game losing streak. Second baseman Mikey White had a big night at the plate, slugging a grand slam, doubling and drawing a bases-loaded walk to bring home another run for the Hounds. Third baseman Taylor Motter singled, walked twice and homered, while designated hitter Tyler Ramirez singled, walked, homered and drove in 3 runs, and right fielder Greg Deichmann drew a walk and drilled a three-run homer for the RockHounds. RHP James Kaprielian turned in another solid start, allowing 1 run on just 1 hit, a home run, and striking out 3 over 4 frames, while RHP Daulton Jefferies gave up 2 runs and struck out 6 over 3 innings of work to pick up the win for Midland. Meanwhile, RHP Brian Howard was reassigned to the RockHounds from Las Vegas on Thursday.

LHP Jesus Luzardo made the start on Thursday and was charged with 5 runs, 4 earned, on 6 hits over 3 1/3 innings of work to suffer the loss for Las Vegas. RHP Brian Schlitter returned from the injured list and gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning of relief, while RHP Paul Blackburn permitted 1 run over 4 1/3 frames, and LHP A.J. Puk, gave up 1 run, on a home run, while notching a pair of outs in the top of the 9th for Las Vegas. Shortstop Jorge Mateo singled, tripled, walked and scored twice in his return from the injured list, while third baseman Eric Campbell and left fielder Nick Martini each singled and drew a pair of walks for Las Vega in the loss. In other news, RHP Brian Howard was reassigned to the RockHounds while rehabbing catcher Josh Phegley was sent to Stockton on Thursday. Meanwhile, rehabbing RHP Marco Estrada is scheduled to make the start for Las Vegas on Friday, with RHP Matt Harvey making the start on Saturday and LHP Sean Manaea set to go on Sunday.

Stockton scored a one-run win to snap its three-game losing streak on Thursday. RHP Mitchell Jordan turned in a strong start, allowing 2 runs on just 4 hits to notch his team-leading 9th win, while RHP Eric Marinez got the final three outs in the 9th to pick up his 1st save for the Ports. Catcher Robert Mullen singled, homered and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas singled, walked twice and scored twice. Center fielder Austin Beck doubled in a pair of runs, and catcher Josh Phegley singled twice, scored twice and drove in a run in his first rehab game with Stockton.

The Snappers suffered a one-run loss to Quad Cities on Thursday. RHP Rafael Kelly turned in a solid start, striking out 9 over 5 2/3 scoreless frames, and he left the game with a two-run lead. But RHP Chase Cohen allowed 3 runs in 2/3 of an inning of relief to take the loss. First baseman Nick Ward drew a walk and tripled in a run for the Snappers in the loss.

Vermont battled back to best Brooklyn on Thursday. This year’s top draft pick for the A’s, shortstop Logan Davidson, singled twice, drove in a run in the 6th inning and then belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th to break a 4-4 tie and provide the margin of victory for Vermont. And Davidson has now gone 6 for 10 with a pair of home runs over his last 2 games for the Lake Monsters. This year’s 2nd-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Tyler Baum, made the start and allowed 4 runs in 2 2/3 innings of work, while RHP Richard Morban was solid in relief, throwing 5 1/3 scoreless frames to earn the win, and RHP Jose Mora pitched a perfect 9th to pick up his team-leading 9th save for the Lake Monsters.

This year’s 12th-round draft pick for the A’s, third baseman T.J. Schofield-Sam, singled, doubled, drew a walk and scored 3 runs, including the winning run in the 5th inning, while 18-year-old Dominican right fielder Jose Bonilla singled, walked twice, scored twice and drove in a run for the A’s. This year’s 8th-round draft pick, 18-year-old Jose Dicochea, made the start and was charged with 5 runs in 2 2/3 innings of work, while 18-year-old Venezuelan RHP Luis Martinez threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and this year’s 40th-round pick, RHP Sam Romero, threw 3 scoreless frames to secure his 3rd save on Thursday.
