The RockHounds won in a walk-off to snap their five-game losing streak on Thursday, and second baseman Nate Mondou was right in the middle of all the action for Midland. Mondou singled and scored the RockHounds’ first run to tie the game in the 4th inning. The second baseman then singled in the Hounds’ second run with two outs in the 5th inning to give his team a one-run lead. And he then singled and scored the tying run in the bottom of the 9th for Midland. Shortstop Edwin Diaz singled in a run, walked twice and scored the winning run in the 9th, while catcher Collin Theroux had a pair of hits and drew a walk. Right fielder Taylor Motter doubled in a run and drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in the tying run in the 9th, and center fielder Mickey McDonald singled and drew another bases-loaded walk with two outs in the 9th to bring home the winning run as the RockHounds won in a walk-off on Thursday. RHP Kyle Friedrichs turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, and he left the game with a one-run lead. But RHP Trey Cochran-Gill was charged with 2 runs, 1 earned, in 1 1/3 innings of relief, and LHP Zack Erwin picked up the win despite giving up 1 run in the top of the 9th for the RockHounds.

Las Vegas suffered a one-run loss to Iowa on Thursday. Left fielder Seth Brown belted a three-run homer in the 3rd inning to give his team an early lead and provide what would prove to be the Aviators’ only runs in the game. And Brown’s 31 home runs now tie him for the league lead. RHP Parker Dunshee delivered a solid start, allowing 2 runs while striking out 5 over 6 innings of work, and he left the game with a one-run lead. But RHP Jharel Cotton gave up 2 runs in 1 2/3 innings of relief to suffer his 2nd loss for Las Vegas.

Stockton lost to Visalia in extra innings on Thursday. After struggling through his last four outings, RHP Brady Feigl turned in an outstanding start for Stockton, striking out 7 over 6 scoreless innings, and he left the game with a one-run lead. RHP Jake Bray tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, but RHP Nick Highberger gave up the tying run in the bottom of the 9th and then, after Stockton took the lead in the top of the 10th, he surrendered 2 runs in the bottom of the 10th to take the loss as Visalia won in a walk-off. Catcher Jordan Devencenzi singled, doubled and drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th for the Ports. Meanwhile, Stockton RHP Peter Bayer was placed on the injured list and Ports pitcher Rafael Kelly was reassigned to the Snappers on Thursday.

The Snappers won their sixth straight on Thursday. RHP Reid Birlingmair turned in another solid start, allowing just 2 unearned runs over 5 frames to earn his 5th win, while RHP Rafael Kelly gave up 1 run in 4 innings of relief to secure his 1st save for the Snappers. Left fielder Anthony Churlin singled, doubled twice and scored twice, while shortstop Max Schuemann had a pair of hits, including a double, drove in a run and tallied his team-leading 13th stolen base for Beloit.

Vermont notched its sixth victory in its last seven games on Thursday. Center fielder Kevin Richards singled, doubled, drove in a run and stole a base, while designated hitter Dustin Harris singled, walked and scored a run, and left fielder Lawrence Butler doubled in a run for the Lake Monsters. Starter Colin Peluse threw 3 2/3 scoreless frames, while RHP Leudeny Pineda allowed 1 run in 3 1/3 innings of relief to pick up the win, and RHP Jose Mora got the final four outs to secure his 7th save for Vermont.
